ISSS 2056 Backcast
The August 2056 issue of TIME Magazine includes this feature story on how the systems sciences have helped shape the world over the past half century. The content is drawn from a backcasting experience Tomorrow Makers designed and facilitated with the ISSS (International Society of Systems Scienceists) July 2006. The title of the article, "The future is rational only in hindsight", is one of 14 design axioms originally coined by Gail and her husband and partner, Matt, in 1981.
